At Summit, we like to support the communities we live and work in, where possible.
As well as working on environmental projects that benefit the locals and donating time and resources to these projects, we also contribute financially. In 2022 we contributed to multiple organisations and causes in the areas we’re fortunate enough to work in, including:
- Sponsorship of local community sports clubs (Gisborne, Ahipara, East Coast)
- Sponsorship of local sporting events (Houhora, Kaitaia, Gisborne, Aupouri and key sponsor of the Summit Kaitaia Trail Run/Walk)
- Sponsorship of local schools and children including Matihetihe School and East Cape District
- Donating to charity fundraising events (Movember, Hato Hone St John, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, MEND)
- Sponsorship of industry events including conferences and forestry awards
