At Summit Forests, we recognise the history and challenges of health and safety in the forestry industry and work hard to ensure health and safety is an integral part of every operation that takes place in the forest.
Recognising the expertise of those that work for us, our management systems focus on the outcomes required.
Employees and contractors that work with Summit are supported by management systems, an overarching H&S Policy Statement and a series of Standards, structured around the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, that set the outcomes required for a safer workplace.
Summit actively works with those working for us to ensure our requirements are being met, the codes of practice and best practice systems are being followed, and that we learn from things that go wrong.
Summit commissions periodic external reviews of our systems and operations to confirm they are fit for purpose and operating as designed, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
